I'm a-whirl with problems I have with this 'article', the book it references,
and the ensuing comments (including the SU reviews).

Suffice it to say this: If you think you are up for it, then marry---
and if you marry a man, ladies, realize you are NOT marrying your best girlfriend. You are marrying a MAN, quite differently wired from your feminine self (thankfully, in my opinion).

If you are fortunate enough, you will marry a man who is
authentic, self-aware, and respects you as a woman
(not NEEDS you as a wife/mother/whore)
AND as a separate person.
Hopefully, you will bring to him the same recognition and respect.

The differences between you then (such as the ones brought up in this diatribe), become not points of seething resentment and hurt feelings,
but rather the pieces that when linked together
actually STRENGTHEN both the individuals and the relationship.

---But, DO NOT MARRY if you expect men to "get" you,
then when they don't magically read your mind/intentions/needs/desires,
YOU get on the high horse that "they never listen."
I KNOW us, ladies, and we use that excuse
when we actually tell them something that
1)we think they SHOULD know already, or
2)we tell them and then get our pretty thongs in a wad
because they REACT (i.e. whine,pout,etc.).
THAT is when we make our big mistake---we let their reactions guide our actions.

And if you do THAT, please please please---USE BIRTH CONTROL.

I hate these types of websites that basically serve to teach people how to behave like a human being.

Reminds me of "the list of the day", which you wouldn't understand, but which gives me the willies just typing about it.

Suffice it to say, sociopaths (I use the term only to create a reference point)who need to be told how to relate because they can not feel are gunking up the internet with this type of trash.
